Physician and Staff

You can expect to receive personalized care before, during, and after your procedure from Dr. Mackler, and our experienced staff of professional registered nurses, gastrointestinal technicians, secretarial staff and anesthesiologists.
 
Anesthesia is provided at the Seaford Endoscopy Center by anesthesiologists from Delaware Coastal Anesthesia. All of our anesthesiologists are Board Certified in anesthesia and experienced in providing anesthesia for outpatient endoscopic procedures. The anesthesia services we provide will optimize your safely and comfort during your procedure, and enable your quick recovery and discharge home.
 
Patients at the Seaford Endoscopy Center receive 1:1 nursing care provided by an all Registered Nurse staff. All of the RN’s at the Center have been specially trained in the care of gastrointestinal endoscopy patients. The nurses are all skilled in IV insertion and are certified in Advance Cardiac Life Support. They are all prepared to answer you pre-procedure questions and provide you with the information you need in preparation for discharge.
 
During your procedure, there will be an endoscopy technician present who will help make you comfortable and assist Dr. Mackler with the equipment. The endoscopy technicians have completed additional training to become gastrointestinal associates. Our technicians have received all of the education and training required to maintain the strict infection control guidelines we follow to sterilize our equipment and high level disinfect our endoscopes for your safety.
 
You will be greeted on the phone or in the reception area by our secretary. She will prepare your chart and help you register when you arrive. Any billing or account questions can be answered by our accounts manager.

Dr. Bradley P. Mackler- Medical Director

The Seaford Endoscopy Center is under the medical direction of Dr. Bradley P. Mackler, MD. Dr. Mackler received his Medical Degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York in 1988. He completed 3 years of Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and became Board Certified in Internal Medicine. From there, he attended Montefiore Medical Center in New York where he completed two years of additional education and training in the Specialty of Gastroenterology. Dr. Mackler became Board Certified in Gastroenterology in 1995 and continues this certification today. He has been in private practice in Seaford, Delaware since 1994. Dr. Mackler is fluent in French.


Joyce Mackler RN, MSN, CASC, CAIP - Center Manager

Joyce is the Center Manager. She oversees the staff and the daily operations of the Center. Prior to this position, Joyce worked for many years in critical care as a staff nurse and clinical nurse specialist. Joyce has a BSN and a MSN as a cardiopulmonary clinical nurse specialist. She obtained certification as a surgical center administrator in 2013 and ambulatory infection preventionist in 2023.


Christa, RN, BSN

Christa is one of our admission and discharge nurses. She has four years of experience working in critical care and step-down nursing. Christa recently received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.


Courtney, RN, BSN

Courtney began working in our pre and post anesthesia care unit in 2022. She has a diverse background in healthcare working as a nursing assistant, medical assistant, staffing specialist, and cardiac telemetry technician piror to becoming an RN. Courtney recently completed her BSN.


Heather, RN

Heather is one of our PACU nurses. She has worked as a certified medical assistant and a registered nurse in a variety of outpatient settings including home health, rehabilitation, and dermatology.


Tori, Endoscopy Technician

Tori is one of our endoscopy technicians. She assists in the procedure room and also works cleaning and sterilizing our endoscopy equipment. Tori has a degree in surgical technology and has completed the Society of Gastrointestinal Nurses and Associates advanced associate training.


Tracy, Endoscopy Technician

Tracy comes to us with previous training as an endoscopy technician and five years of experience in central sterile processing. Tracy is a certified registered central service technician and has completed the Society of Gastrointestinal Nurses and Associates advanced associate training.


Robin, Patient Accounts Manager

Robin joined our staff in the fall of 2012. She is our Patient Accounts Manager. Robin is the person who can assist you with any questions you have regarding your bill. Robin comes to us with 10 years of experience as a manager, receptionist and accounts manager for another medical practice.


Jessica, Secretary

Jessica is our new receptionist and secretary. Jessica comes to us with a wide range of medical office experience from scheduling, to patient registration, to billing.


Candy, RN

Candy has an extensive nursing background including experience in intensive care, recovery room, and endoscopy. Candy will be working per diem in our PACU.


Lisa, RN

Lisa is one of our PACU nurses. She has done clinical care in the hospital and home care settings and has been a manger in home care and long-term care.
